This post is for all my friends. No matter what happens during the day, when I see one of you (you know who you are) everything bad slides off me and doesn't matter anymore. Thank you to everyone who makes me feel loved. I appreciate your friendship more than I can express.
(I wish I had a photo of everybody in one place, but these three dudes are great and so this photo will do the job)

"If you look at my photos you can see it's not really about perfection, it's not about composition. It's about seeing things and reacting to them very directly. There's an element of surprise in that I can't predict what will happen next.
Photography is difficult because a lot of times the subject is more important than the photograph. I've been given credit for photographing people like Basquiat or Warhol or whoever-and I've taken some good pictures of them-but in the end there's a lot of subject in those pictures."

I will be posting here less frequently in the future in an attempt to focus on darkroom work and making zines. I will still post here (because it's no fun unless you share) but I feel it is important to keep photography/drawings/scrapbook pages/etc. as a print medium and I feel I have spent less time doing that this year than ever. The contact sheet above already exists in zine form somewhere out there. If you would like mail or prints please feel free to contact me (I'm assuming most people who look at this know my phone number).
