Garrison ollied this hydrant and right as I tried to take a picture, someone walked right in front of my lens. I asked Garrison if he wanted to try again and he 180'd the whole kit instead. Oh yeah...note to Weston....this at f1.4.

Juanita turned 27 on Friday and we went bowling at the Ritz!

Garrison, Ollie into the bank. Same photo as the half-framer below...just better timing and with a different camera. I didn't crop this by the way....it was just the beginning of the roll of film, hence the square and the white "burnt" markings at the top. This is way bigger than I made it look. I got a better photo from a better angle but the film had weird fogging bands on it (just on that frame....usually light leaks don't confine themselves like that). Anyway, in the mid-90's I was really into Keith Hufnagel. One person I know commented on Garrison doing too many ollies (just like Huf). Anyway, I just want to say, I'd rather have Garrison's ollie than your switch 360 flip. Keep killing shit Gary!

Dear Diary,

Olympus makes some cute little point and shoot film cameras that fit in your pocket. I took these pictures with some of those cameras.

Juanita and Eric's cat Lilly.

Minnie gave her Uncle Sausage a hug (look at the difference in size!)

Jovi B. blunt at Rose Park.

I got some work done. Photo by one of the dental assistants.

More Uncle Sausage!

Sean took care of Vienna for me so I could do some stuff.

Now this is happening.

@ The Willkills show at Urban Lounge....did I mention Olympus' cameras are "weatherproof"? That means you can take them to bars.

More half-frame fun.

Dear Diary,

I've been really into this book by Robert Frank lately called Hold Still--Keep Going. The book has a lot of scans of what appears to be 8mm movie movie film from Robert Frank's numerous films. I have never scanned any of my super 8mm reels and posted them as a jpg or anything but half-frame cameras have that same cinematic quality. This roll sucked because the film came loose halfway through and when I went to open the back, I hadn't exposed the last twelve frames (as the film had quit advancing) and I got light leaks all over the edges of the film that actually was exposed. Anyway, this is my attempt at telling what was going on in two fotos instead of one. Garrison Conklin....ollie a bigger gap than it looks like.

This is Neil Carter. He was my grandfather-in-law once. I have many great memories of this guy. Sadly, he passed away yesterday. He was 92 I think. I took this picture while he was singing at his 90th birthday party. I wish I could pay him a more fitting tribute than writing a blog about him....but this might have to do for the moment. I'm glad you're in a better place Grandpa Carter.

I know Karlee probably would disapprove of me putting this picture on here but I found this while I was searching for a negative today. This was probably taken sometime in 2006 and I always thought this picture had a strange glow about it. It was taken in Karlee's grandparents backyard and something about this photo always struck me as amazingly beautiful (I always thought Karlee was amazingly beautiful anyway, but like I said, there is a strange glow to this picture that I can't describe in words) so I decided to share it.

Sometimes two wheels are better than four.

1. Someone opened the door right as I took this photo (hence the 10:30)
2. Smoking is lame (it causes Cancer! and Cancer sucks....trust me) but it looks kind of cool in photos(??)
3. All photography is voyeuristic to some extent....no arguments please.
4. Hi Juanita!

One of my favorite skateboard companies of yesteryear was 101. They had the good stuff...Jason Dill, Gino, and the amazing art direction of Natas. This is post 101 on this blog so I thought I should mention it.

Since I mentioned one of my favorite skate companies, I decided to post a photo of one of my favorite skateboarders. Jovi is "chill".
