Today is the last day to get Kodachrome processed. These are a few photos from my last roll.
Paul Simon has a song about Kodachrome, but also Simon and Garfunkel have song called "My Little Town". These photos were taken in my little town over Thanksgiving weekend. Click on them to see them larger (and to see how bad I am at scanning).

Pass the camera.....
I've found photos that I really liked on rolls of film before that someone else shot with my camera. These are two awesome photos that I wish I shot but only have the negatives for:
Hula Hoopers on Broadway....I'm 90% sure Josh Joye shot this.
Flags in Cedar City. Kodachrome. Sean Ferrell shot this.

A little more Kodachrome, I keep saying this will be the last, then I find something else on my "hard drive" (i.e. the stack of binders next to this computer). I didn't go out of my way to shoot anything planned with this one....no contrived, last roll stuff....just Thanksgiving break with some good friends I don't see often enough.

End of an era.
Last roll of Kodachrome for sure. I have another roll (that chronologically was shot before this) that hasn't been scanned yet. As of December 31, 2010, Dwayne's Camera in Kansas will no longer process Kodachrome film (they are currently the only lab who still does the process). The film has been discontinued for about a year now and the processing will soon be gone. This is my last roll of Kodachrome ever....or at least until someone brings it back (keeping my fingers crossed....it happened with Polaroid!)
P.S. This roll is kind of blah but it represents the end of an era so I have to post it. Sorry Paul Simon....they really did "Take your Kodachrome away"

Murder's signature (and my door) at the Modest Mouse crapfest 2010.
Shaky night stuff.
Deer jumping in a graveyard? ARRRRTTTTSSSYYYY.
5th Street Bowl Coffee Shop. San Jose, CA. This one's for JAI!
Hanging out with Ant, also in San Jose. Drive by shooting?
I have this camera, I got for $3 at the DI in St. George years ago. It's called an Olympus XA. It's like having a pocket Leica M (even though Leica Ms are pretty compact to begin with). Great little camera, takes the sharpest pictures. Buy one today. Try Ebay.
Some of these photos were intentionally "light leaked" and/or double exposed. More soon? Maybe?

Adam.
Moriah.
My busted ass Yashica T4 didn't rewind the film midway through the roll this time like it usually does. If you've never heard of the T4, it's pretty much the greatest camera of all time. Terry Richardson swears by it.

Moriah played hack in Payson(?)
Some photos just tend to work better as a pair....this was a weird roll of film where a few photos just seemed to really go together and needed to be paired up.
